Galvin's Sacred Locks Mother to Be hair products are a great find for pregnant
women. The Shampoo, Conditioner and Treatment Masque are all you need to look
after your hair during pregnancy. As well as being environmentally
friendly, the paraben, silicone, petrochemical and polymer free formulas give
expectant mums the reassurance that using these products will have no ill
effects on their babies and the fragrance free formula is a particular bonus
for those whose skin may become more sensitive during pregnancy. As someone who
washes her hair in the shower, it was great to know that my skin was unlikely
to react to these products as I rinsed them out of my hair.
Although
the shampoo didn't form as much of a lather as I expected, it is very effective
and left my hair squeaky clean. It takes hardly any time at all to rinse it out
and it is lovely to feel that no excess product or residue has been left in
your hair.
The Conditioner is rich and creamy. As with the shampoo, the Conditioner doesn't take any time to rinse out and hair is left feeling clean
and well nourished but product free. Both the Shampoo and Conditioner come in convenient hand pump dispensers, reducing instances of fumbling for
dropped lids.
The Treatment Masque provides your hair with that little bit of added pampering. It
is applied to shampooed and towel-dried hair. The consistency of the mask is
thick and rich and it works into the hair easily. Following use, your hair is
left feeling deeply conditioned, manageable and healthy.
Pregnancy
can make your hair behave out of character – so much so that pregnancy
books warn expectant mums to avoid drastic changes to their hair such as colouring,
perms and new styles since hair may respond badly. In pregnancy my hair has
felt a little thicker, drier and is perhaps a little more unruly than usual.
Louise Galvin's Mother To Be range has been a valuable tool in managing my "new"
hair.
