I am not a fan of taking baths and for years only used the shower in the bath. Apart from saving water, showers use less hot water and so less energy consumption – two things to consider these days. Eventually I took the plunge, had a new bathroom fitted with a walk-in digital shower which is great for my needs but it does mean I don't have a bath to offer my toddler granddaughter.
Then I saw the Orzbow Foldable Baby Standing Shower Support which offers more security when showering a small child. Although the manufacturers say to use from age six months and to use the little folding stool to sit the infant on, I wouldn't be comfortable about using it for such a young baby.
This shower support is ergonomically designed and is made from non-toxic, antibacterial acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) – a common type of plastic. It offers five height settings for infants up to three years (max recommended height: 80cm / 31.5"). It has a curved backrest and non-slip armrests for secure support.
The design means it's ready to use straight out of the box with no installation required – always a bonus in my eyes. Jus unfold and, when not in use, it takes one click to fold ready for storage (although I didn't find this as easy to accomplish as unfolding). It's sturdy with a wide base that has an anti-slip technology and doesn't tip over as the rubber pads grip the wet floor of the shower, The tray has quick-dry drain.
I thought the little stool would have looked much nicer if it had matched the grey of the unit. As it is, it seems like an afterthought.
