This 7-in-1 Kickin' Musical Activity Gym with Piano was ordered in anticipation of the new arrival but gained the interest of the toddler when she saw the box. I convinced her that when the baby comes, as a big sister, she could help show the sibling how to do things. You can see from the photo of Lizzie with baby sister Annie, that's exactly what she did.
What I particularly like it the fact that this makes a wonderful present for a new baby but one which will be useful for many months to come.
The box it comes in shows the seven distinct phases and stages from a newborn being placed on the mat with some dangling toys to an infant sitting up in the inflatable chair (with a three point harness and Velcro to attach it to the mat) and playing with the piano.
The piano offers an "immersive sound environment" to stimulate early auditory development. It features seven sound modes: seven classical melodies, 21 nature/animal sounds, and customisable composer function. You will need batteries for this.
The mat is made from hypoallergenic fabric and can be machine washed.
