Knickers Model's Own

Caroline Jones committed to 365 days of fundraising in 2015 in honour of her mum, Mary, who passed away from breast cancer in October 2014. It was a much bigger challenge than she could ever have imagined.

Styling a unique outfit from pre-loved clothes bought or borrowed from Cancer Research UK shops every day, getting someone (often her daughter or a passer-by) to take a photo of her, and posting across social media, EVERY DAY, was not an easy task (alongside her three kids, day job and other commitments).

Her efforts brought incredible rewards though, raising more than £58,000 during the year for Cancer Research UK.

The first half of 2016 was dedicated to creating a book about the journey, how she managed to keep going through her grief, as well as a week-by-week look at her fashion journey. Packed with tips and tricks to find frugal fashion gems in charity shops, how to create your own style, be confident in colour and lots more, this is not just a book about fashion, it's a book about courage and possibility, about fundraising and determination.

Internationally-famous photographer Rankin stepped forward to take the cover image, fashion designer Henry Holland chipped in with some words along with many other well-known contributors. The support for this campaign has been incredible, and now you can be part of it.

Knickers Model's Own: A Year of Frugal Fashion is available via the Cancer Research UK shop online and in all good book shops for £20. 100 per cent of profits go to Cancer Research UK.
