Stay in a Pub accreditiation

Stay in a Pub and sister company, Cask Marque, have partnered with Visit Britain to create a Covid-19 compliance accreditation scheme that has been named "We're Good to Go" and tagged Stay Safe and Safe Pub.

The scheme is free of charge to the 1700 pubs with rooms listed on www.stayinapub.co.uk and 9,500 Cask Marque accredited pubs and its purpose is three-fold:

  • To ensure that pubs are aware of their responsibilities to Covid-19 compliance.
  • To reassure customers that Stay in a Pub accommodation is safe to visit.
  • To inform local communities about the public health and safety measures pubs are putting in place.

Paul Nunny, founding Director of Stay in a Pub said, “There has been some concern that the Government’s ‘Stay at Home’ campaign has been so successful that consumers will initially be unwilling to visit public places and book overnight accommodation. Giving them reassurance that staying in a pub is safe will help to breakdown these barriers.”

The scheme will take the form of an online self-accreditation and as soon as the Government announces guidelines for the hospitality industry, more information will be available.
