Each year in the UK, around 50 people die from carbon monoxide poisoning in the home with many more suffering health problems. More alarmingly, new research reveals that at least 35 million people are still at risk from carbon monoxide poisoning. In many cases, this is likely to be because people mistakenly think that their smoke alarm will detect carbon monoxide.
