Working Families Impact Report

The latest impact report from Working Families Legal Advice Service shows that the charity’s helpline and 200-plus advice and guidance pages reached one in ten UK parents.

The impact report highlights how much progress the three strands of the charity’s work – empowering parents and carers, supporting employers, and driving change – has made during the past year. This has involved introducing a certification scheme for employers who want to build family-friendly workplaces, and re-establishing the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Flexible and Family-Friendly Working to facilitate cross-party collaboration to develop practical solutions and advance policy change.

Working Families is a charity on a mission to remove the barriers that people with caring responsibilities face in the workplace. They provide free legal advice to parents and carers on their rights at work.

The charity gives employers the tools they need to support their employees while creating a flexible, high-performing workforce.

They advocate on behalf of the UK’s working parents and carers, influencing policy through campaigns informed by ground-breaking research.

Their advice pages range from "Benefits and other financial support" to "Family leave and pay", from "Childcare support" to "Parents and carers of dependants with a disability". They also have template letters and downloadable resources.

If you need more specific help you can fill in their advice form on the Working Families website or you can ring their Helpline: 0300 023 0312 open weekdays 11am to 2pm.
