maxi micro t-barThere is a clear hierarchy on the pavements, just as on the road. I'm not talking about pram envy amongst mums but scooter lust! And the Maxi Micro T-Bar is a clear winner.

Toby, aged four and three quarters (and big for his age), has a close relationship with scooters. At the age of two, he stepped onto his first model, complete with flashing lights and bright chrome work. After 18 months of endurance-style riding led to its mechanical demise and we replaced it with a similar metal model. Meanwhile almost all of Toby's friends ventured forth on the familiar pink and blue Mini Micros which fill our local pavements and parks.

It was with enormous pride and a little trepidation that Toby ventured onto the splendid new Maxi Micro T-Bar scooter. Would the increase in speed for an already rather reckless four year old be offset by the improved handling? Happily, Toby took to the Maxi Micro almost instantly, after one or two minor scrapes when gradient and scooter were ill-matched with his experience.

In no time, the silver two-wheeler scooter was all but forgotten, and the admiring glances given to his new ride by school boys and pre-schoolers alike only served to add to its superiority.

maxi micro scooterMicros are much imitated, but the real deal is beautifully designed and engineered, with wheels and bearings that allow for true skateboard-style gliding and give the well-balanced child plenty of scope for tricks and other vital bits of showing off. For a mum, the Maxi Micro's inherent stability provides a certain amount of peace of mind as Toby points it down the nearest hill, and the brakes - when he chooses to use them - are certainly effective.

It's hard to fault the Maxi Micro, this superior scooter offers fantastic looks and offers great speed, handling and manoeuvrability to its young riders. it is a truly cool scooter and Toby certainly feels as though he is king of the pavement!
