Little Princess – When I Grow Up DVD

Regular readers of our reviews know how much we adore Little Princess books and DVDs. So we – Harriet in particular – was delighted to review Little Princess – When I Grow Up DVD.

The animations are based on the author Tony Ross originals with all your favourite charactes from the General to Maid and the michievous cat and dog. Each episode runs for about 20 minutes – a perfect time for younger children although Harriet does like to watch all five in one sitting!

Little Princess – When I Grow Up explores the roles of various professions:

• I want to be a detective by Carol Noble
• I want to be a nurse by Kelly Marshall
• I want to be a vet by Cass Willing
• I want to be a policeman by Rebecca Stevens
• I want to go to space by Vicky Gedding

In each enchanting episode Little Princess tries her hand at jobs and involves various members of the household as well as numerous animals. The distinctive voices of Julian Clary and Jane Horrocks are a delight.
