From photo to canvas - via Jessops

I have often seen lively and infectious photographs as canvases in friends' houses and thought "How lovely!". I didn't realise that it is remarkably easy to create one via Jessops' website and I had underestimated the pleasure of creating and then receiving one myself.

joseph and halChoosing the photograph from our very un-Testino collection was more of a challenge than ordering the canvas itself - having decided upon the least blurred shot of the summer, I visited the Jessops' website and literally within four clicks had uploaded and cropped the shot that we wanted "blown up". There are lots of options, you can choose to have a frame and even choose to have smaller pictures as a collage over a larger one for example. Give them your details and away you go.

The canvas arrived two days later by courier in perfect condition and it really surprised me how special it felt - an ordinary digital shot of two little boys pulling faces had become a really poignant possesion. It was almost quite magical - strange but true. A great present for yourself or, if you must, for someone else.
