Sing Up, the national singing programme, has launched a new-look family section on their website.
The new family area - www.singup.org/families - is full of songs with lyrics that families can sing together as well as a selection of games and activity packs that can be downloaded to play in the car, on picnics or on a rainy day.
You can also request a free CD-ROM with songs that kids can sing-a-long to play on their computer plus activity sheets and inspiring articles about singing!
As well as being great fun for the whole family, scientific studies have shown that singing and music can make a significant impact on the educational and social development of children. Music helps with language skills and maths! And children singing together won't be fighting or arguing - unless it's about the next song!
