These ideas are perfect for winter: they will make your home into a true winter wonderland! Great to make as a surprise, or to get the children involved in.

Snow Storm
Snow is magical and exciting for children. If it's not white outside, bring the winter indoors instead! All you need are some sparkling twigs, some fun decorations, and these cymbidium orchids. You can buy the twigs from a florist or, for extra fun, you can ask your kids to paint them white and before the paint dries, sprinkle glitter all over.

When they're ready to use, all you need to do is tie your decorations and orchids to the twigs. The orchids look like curious little faces, ready to explore their new fantasy land, so this is nice for tiny tots.

Spinning Wheel
You can use just about anything to put flowers in! For this, cover a cotton spool with some tissue paper, and hold the paper in place with some thread. Put pretty purple lisianthus flowers into the hole.

If you want to make more of a display, use any cups, jars and saucers and line them up on a table.

Fill the jars with even prettier pink lisianthus and limonium, which looks like fairy heather gathered from the woods.

Magical Pond
If your children want to make lots of little place settings for their next tea party in the woods, try this. All you need are some saucers, you can even use plastic ones left over from their last birthday party. Put a little drop of water in the saucer, and then cut the stem off a cheeky-looking anthurium  and a little cymbidium orchid flower. Your kids can put these in the saucer and the flowers will be having a drink whilst your kids are having their tea-party!

Hansel & Gretel
This one is fun for a special occasion. All you need is a tall cup or jar, a wide plate, and a plastic jelly mould. Balance the plate on the jar and then put the jelly mould on top so it looks like a cake. If you have one, you can just put the jelly mould on a cake stand. Put some water on the plate or cake stand, and then put frothy stems of limonium on the stand, so that it looks like it's pouring over the side. Pile up cymbidium flowers on top for a real tea-time treat!
