Supermum stress – bringing up children takes its toll on mothers
If you’re reading this just after you’ve put the children to bed, the chances are you may be feeling stressed after a day of juggling the demands of family life and working. However if you’ve just taken or sent the kids to school, you are twice as likely to be stressed – that’s what a survey revealed which was carried out for Rescue Remedy, the natural stress reliever formulated by Dr Edward Bach.
Of the 724 mothers questioned in April 2007, 78 per cent worked outside the home full or part-time and nearly one third thought stress made them bad-tempered and tired.
Mothers were asked:
what is the most stressful thing about being a parent?
The most stressful time?
How does stress manifest itself?
What caused the most stress regarding school?
Rescue Remedy, recommended for demanding or stressful moments or occasions, is effective, safe and natural and is now used by millions of people when things get too much.
Rescue Remedy contains five flower remedies: Impatiens, Star of Bethlehem, Cherry Plum, Rock Rose and Clematis. The recommended dose is two squirts directly onto the tongue, or two drops taken in water and sipped slowly.
