In our family, we love stories by the wonderful writer, Julia Donaldson whom we met at an event to publicise What the Ladybird Heard Next in the summer. Stick Man, first published by Scholastic in 2008 and illustrated by Axel Scheffler is no exception.
A new gift edition has been created for children, parents and everyone who loves children's literature, to celebrate Stick Man being the Christmas story of the year having been made into an animated film to be shown on BBC One at Christmas.
The film will star Martin Freeman as Stick Man, Hugh Bonneville as Santa, and Jennifer Saunders as the narrator. Russell Tovey, Rob Brydon and Sally Hawkins complete the all-star cast.
