the lacquer labOne of the great things about going to press shows is often being offered a mini-manicure and, if you're going to several different show, it's a time to sit and relax.

Last week I went to the Popcorn PR show which included the Novella Collection for The Lacquer Lab which releases five new colours and one glitter dust for the winter/Christmas season. These colours range from a fabulous plum which I tried to a great winter nude. This collection will be available from1 November, 2014.

The current summer collection is just as exciting with the Neon Beach Brights Collection and the Marrakech Collection.

the lacquer labThe lacquers are easy to apply and the colour builds with the second coat. I was impressed at how long it lasted before any chips appeared especially as I had been gardening and cleaning and, as usual, forgot to put on gloves.

If you keep your nails short, the darker colours look wonderful but I also like nude colours which give a "cared-for" look which won't show up a chip which is often inevitable when looking after children.

All Lacquer Lab lacquers are hand-blended, cruelty-free and toxin-free. This means they do not contain Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene and Camphor, and are never tested on animals.

Only EU approved cosmetic pigments are used in the lacquers

One thing to bear in mind if you leave the bottle still, over time polishes may separate slightly due to the fact that they are hand-made. This isn't a problem and won't affect the quality of your lacquer. Just give it a vigorous shake and it will mix back up.
