BABBLEGOBBLE the board game has launched and is a concept unheard of in the board gaming industry as of yet. Combining code breaking, fun and linguistics, BABBLEGOBBLE is an educational treat that will ignite the innate language acquisition abilities that we all indeed possess – but rarely discover or attempt to use.
BABBLEGOBBLE is an exciting and unusual gaming experience for the whole family. A game targeted to those passionate about linguistics, language acquisition and code-breaking. There is also an element connected to the possibility that an alien life form exists beyond our universe, and that this extra-terrestrial intelligence could have had some impact on ancient language form.
While playing BABBLEGOBBLE, teams hear words which could come from 36 different languages which are divided into six different groups. The teams must identify firstly the group of languages to which the word belongs, then the language (there are of course six languages in each group) and then the meaning of the word in English. The words are divided into five separate word categories and the category of the word you are going to hear will be known before you hear it. You will have only 20 meanings from which to choose, except for numbers which could be anything!
