The Remington Professional Damage Defence Tong is very easy to use as it grips the ends of the hair firmly, enabling you to wrap the rest of the hair around the tong without getting into a tangle.

The tong heats up quickly - giving a ping to let you know  it's ready to use -  which is especially good as I am always rushed for time before I go out, but it also is much safer as there is no need to leave them while they heat up, which could be a fire hazard.

The steam effect helps the curl keep its hold for longer – which is always good, especially on my hair which is thin and can often look lank and without volume. Remington Professional Damage Defence Tong produces natural-looking curls without much effort, and the grip on the tong makes it difficult for you to do a bad job.

Having said this, the curls only stayed in my hair for the beginning of the evening and began to lose their tightness and attractiveness after a while. I am not a fan of hairspray, but have tried curling my hair and adding hairspray afterwards – this did help the curls to last, but left my curls look less natural.

Remington Professional Damage Defence Tong is lightweight, stylish and attractive, and does not have too many confusing additional parts.  I would definitely recommend the tong.

Remington Professional Damage Defence Tong (£29.99) is stocked at Littlewoods, Superdrug and leading electrical stores.
