3-in-1 Total Body Fitness with Desi Bartlett

This exercise DVD contains three separate work-outs, each lasting 20 minutes.  Each works on a different element of fitness:  cardiovascular, strength and flexibility. 

The cardiovascular section is designed to burn calories and build endurance;  the strength section to build fat-burning muscle and healthy bones;  and the flexibility section to lengthen muscles and keep joints moving freely.  You can choose to do one section at a time or do all three together, depending on how much time you have available and also on which particular areas of fitness you want to focus.  However, with each section only lasting 20 minutes it can easily be fitted into a busy daily routine. 

The cardiovascular and strength work-outs were much faster than the flexibility one, the latter  being much more of a yoga type work-out and more gentle than the others. That said, all the sections were easy to follow with clear, concise instructions and no equipment other than hand weights and a towel being required. 

3-in-1 Total Body Fitness was filmed on a beach and I did at times find the waves crashing in the background rather distracting and found myself concentrating on them rather than the exercises. The commentary was a little irritating with "nice job" and "fantastic job" featuring rather too often, but then once you were used to the work-outs, you could always turn the sound off.

Overall an excellent exercise DVD which would appeal to people at all levels of fitness
