Planet HollywoodThe first thing you notice on entering Planet Hollywood is the genuinely warm welcome supplied by established staff who obviously enjoy their work. The iconic restaurant is family friendly and is happy to accommodate buggies while there is plenty to entertain and engage older children and teens. (You can just make out the Bond wall in our photo). Home to over 50 pieces of iconic Hollywood history including Halle Berry’s famous "Jinx" orange bikini from Die Another Day and "The Hoff’s" red shorts from Baywatch, Planet Hollywood’s atmosphere is always buzzing.

Harriet and I were shown to banquette seating with is ideal for fidgety small children and the children's menu came with crayons to keep her occupied while we chose what to eat.

Planet Kids menu for children aged 12 and under offers two courses for £8.95 and includes unlimited drinks plus a choice from a wide range of mains followed by a desert. If you look at Harriet's main in the photo: Fish Goujons with French fries and peas (plus an extra side of cucumber) you'll see why I would recommend two young children sharing. The portion size is definitely not small.

To begin our meal we sampled Planet Hollywood's "world famous chicken crunch" accompanied by creole mustard sauce – a huge hit with Harriet and very filling. I followed with Fish and Chips with French fries, fresh garden peas and homemade tartar sauce (£13.95). Everything was cooked to order and arrived at the table piping hot. The menu is so extensive I would like to keep going back to try other items.

PWT rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
