PGL summer discounts

publication date: Aug 6, 2014

PGL driving coursePGL has discounted its remaining summer camp holidays by up to 60 per cent.

Teenagers aged 13 to 16 could learn to drive a real car in Lincolnshire, with a seven-night holiday at Caythorpe Court near Grantham starting Saturday 16 August now reduced to £258, down from £645, saving £387. With instruction on private roads, looking at theory and practical knowledge as well as hands-on driving skills in dual-control cars, teenagers can get a head start – in safety – with plenty of fun activities mixed in too – from abseiling to zip wire thrills at this 65-acre estate.

At Osmington Bay in Dorset budding film-makers can get creative – with all the equipment provided – on holidays starting 16 and 23 August, with different groups for 10 to 13s and 13 to 16 year olds.  Pay as little as £247, down from £619 for a full week’s holiday and saving £372. Children learn the basics of film and sound recording, scriptwriting, sound and visual effects, directing and editing – as well as being in front of the camera!

And for those who want to try a whole range of activities, there are ‘multi-activity’ breaks of four-nights or seven-nights at adventure centres including Winmarleigh Hall in Lancashire, just an hour from Manchester and Liverpool.  The 50 acres surrounding the Victorian mansion include woods to explore, a lake on which to canoe and a quad bike track. A week at Winmarleigh Hall is now half price, with places on the last week of summer – starting 23 August – from just £259.50 for children aged seven to 16.

All holidays include accommodation, all meals, activities, equipment, instruction and supervised fun from dawn to (after) dusk.
