PGL Family abseiling

PGL: parents go free
: the deal – which gives one free adult place with each full paying child aged six to 18 years – applies to selected departure dates and centres on multi-activity weeks in the UK, and adventurous holidays in France.

For example, a week at Barton Hall in Devon, starting 21 July, 11, 18 or 25 August is now only £680 in total when a family of four share an en-suite room, saving £830. Barton Hall is just outside Torquay with sweeping views across Torbay. That’s a better-than-half-price offer, for bookings made by 23 July.

The centre has a great range of facilities for families, including its own dry ski slope. Activities range from abseiling and aeroballing, to swinging on a trapeze and screaming down a zip wire – all with expert instruction from PGL staff and all equipment

In France, at the company’s Normandy base only two hours’ drive from Caen ferry port, the Chateau du Tertre, a week’s Fantastic French Adventure starting 22 or 29 July, or 5 August now costs only £670 for a family of four, because two adults save a total of £758 – this time accommodation is an ensuite twin for Mum and Dad, with children in their own room.

The 36 acres have space for abseil and climbing towers, a football pitch, basketball court and boules pitch. Fencing, archery, rifle shooting and high level thrills on the trapeze and zip wire can be enjoyed by all. There’s a free day mid-week so families can explore the area, to Mont St Michel, Bayeux or the Normandy beaches.

At both centres all meals, a five-day programme of activities, all equipment and instruction is included in the price. Travel to the centre, whether in UK or France, is not included.
