London UnlockedDon't be boring ... Go exploring! is the strap line on the cover and London Unlocked will help kids do just that. Some 200 children had input via focus groups and surveys to help produce a beautifully illustrated, amusing and child-friendly guide which specialises on activities rather than places.

So where can you design your own coat of arms? At the Victoria and Albert Museum. Take are treetop trail? Kew Gardens. Make a brass rubbing? St Martin's-in-the-Fields.

Each double page spread is an activity on which you can stick stars to give it your rating (gold stars are found in the back of the book), read fascinating facts, learn about alternative sites, share a joke and discover tips on planning your visit with essential facts like address, contact numbers nearest tube.

London Unlocked is a delightful book which makes essential reading for any child visiting the capital. An  excellent resource for parents as well! Written by Emily Kerr and Joshua Perry, it is illustrated by Katherine Hardy and published by Factfinder Guides.
