John Adam ProDeck WorkshopJohn Adams Pro Deck Workshop is billed as a small scale recreation of a real skateboard workshop. This hefty plastic set promises the opportunity of making ten decks from scratch, building them up from layers of glued cardboard with special decals, stickers, grippy "foot" plates and tiny scale wheels and axles.

These are, of course, fingerboards, a long-running craze for micro-sized skateboards that can be "ridden" with one hand, doing tricks and jumps along a desktop, for example. Sadly the packaging is a little misleading as we appeared to only get enough wheels and bolts to complete a single board at a time, although the wheels can be unbolted and put onto any of the other boards you build.

Aimed at seven year olds and up, we'd advise patience and caution as the pieces are extremely small. The workshop and stands are fully compatible with all other brands of fingerboard, so you can display the rest of your collection once you've used up the empty templates.
