Harriet couldn't wait to try out the new Fire 7 Kids Edition. It is simplicity itself to set up and she happily went through the welcome instructions. 
The package includes one year of Fire For Kids Unlimited which gives your kids aged three to 12 access to over 5,000 popular apps and games, videos, books and educational content from Disney, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street and many more plus you can add even more content to your child's profile in Fire for Kids to give them selected access to apps in your personal library, such as Netflix, YouTube and Candy Crush Jelly Saga.
Parental controls allow you to manage usage limits, content access and educational goals, while entertaining children within a safe kid-friendly environment. You can also set bedtime curfews and employ tighter controls on screen time and content. You can programme the Fire for up to four children so your younger child won't have access to content more appropriate to the older.
Reassuring for adults but which did our seven-year-old reviewer think?
"There are lots of books I like to read like Angelina stories and my favourite book on the Fire is The Boy Who could Do What He Liked (by David Baddiel).
"I love the videos especially Sponge Bob Square Pants because it is always funny and silly. And it's got the BFG! As well as The Little Princess.
"The camera is very cool and trendy. I took a photo of myself and cropped it then added my name and some stickers."
Harriet loves the selection of games and for some reason delights in adding make-up to cartoon animals!
