Annie Brough Cycling Challenge

June 2013: Annie Brough will be joining other women for an incredible 400km cycle ride though the Rift Valley over five days – from the slopes of majestic Mount Kenya to the shores of magnificent Lake Victoria. Both on and off road – experiencing Africa away from the usual tourist trails though savannah plains, wildlife game parks, tropical rainforests and traditional villages.

Annie aims to raise a minimum of £1600 to fight breast, cervical and ovarian cancers and the money raised will go to Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action. The money raised will go towards research and practical and emotional support for women in the UK.

In 2013 Annie will be turning 60 and was born in Nairobi, Kenya. She is taking this opportunity to return to her childhood home as well as raising awareness of these cancers and money for research.
