Cocoa Brown 1 Hour TanCocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan really does live up to its description. In an hour I had perfectly tanned legs with no streaks and no nasty smell. Created by beauty guru and businesswoman Marissa Carter, this is the perfect way to get that sun-kissed look spending only a few extra minutes in the bathroom after your shower. Using the Tanning Mitt means you get an even application (and your hands aren't at risk of extra colour). I didn't see the instruction to shower after application but nothing untoward happened!

Here are Marissa Carter"s tips and advice for using Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan:

  1. A coat of nail polish to your nails on hands and feet. This prevents tan from staining the nail plate.
  2. An oil-free moisturiser to areas such as feet, ankles, knees, elbows and hands. The skin is usually drier in these areas so this will ensure the colour of tan is even all over.
  3. A small amount of petroleum jelly through eyebrows. This prevents the tan from discolouring your eyebrows.

Plus:

  • If you have dark circles around your eyes, a little bit of petroleum jelly will stop the tan from further darkening the area.
  • Wear loose, dark clothing while tan is developing and avoid water.
  • If you like your tan to be light wait 1 hour before showering, for a medium colour wait 2 hours and for a darker shade wait 3 hours.

AFTER you apply Cocoa Brown 1 HOUR TAN…

  • When you shower for the first time after applying Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan you can use shower gel but don’t exfoliate your skin.
  • I recommend that you wait until day two or three after your tan application before you begin applying body moisturiser. I find that if you moisturise your skin too early, it can cause the tan to fade too quickly.
  • On day four and five you want to start exfoliating in the shower and moisturise afterwards.
  • I recommend that you use an oil free body moisturiser on day two and three and then if you like you can use a body oil on day four and five and thereafter which will help to soften the skin so that the tan exfoliates off evenly.

More tips for terfect Tanning from Marissa…

  • If you want your tan to be very dark then I recommend applying Cocoa Brown for two consecutive days.
  • Always apply Cocoa Brown with a Tanning Mitt for best results.
  • Never apply fresh tan to skin that still has remnants of old tan on it because it will result in an uneven, patchy tan.
  • I recommend that you patch test your skin by applying a small amount of tan to the inside of your arm two days before you plan to use Cocoa Brown for the first time just to make sure you’re not allergic in any way.
