Shaun the Sheep: The Big Chase

The latest Shaun the Sheep DVD features eight new episodes, every one of them an instant classic: The Big Chase, An Ill Wind, Bitzer From the Black Lagoon, Zebra Ducks Of The Serengeti, The Boat, Bitzer's Basic Training, The Magpie and Operation Pidsley.

True to form, the Aardman team manage to squeeze in everything from classic movie references to running gags, paired with excellent characterisation and genuinely inventive action sequences. Toby especially liked the chase with quad bike, 'It's so cool' being the height of praise.

Shaun's constant battles with the farmer and his dog are usually resolved amicably, but not before the general day-to-day running of the farm is turned upside down, to the amusement of our six year-old and three year-old fans.

Timmy Time: Timmy's Birthday

Eight new episodes of this classic pre-school animation are now available. We're big Timmy Time fans in this household, and even though it's aimed at CBeebies' younger viewers it's one of the few programmes Toby is happy to watch with Pippa. Pippa enjoys Shaun the Sheep but Timmy is definitely her favourite and the combination of characters and short self-contained stories in each episode have her full attention. The title episode featuring cheeky Timmy and his tempting birthday cake had her giggling with delight!

The episodes are Timmy's Birthday, Timmy Goes Camping, Timmy The Robot, Timmy's Pet Problem, Count On Timmy, Timmy Makes A Splash, Beep Beep Timmy and Timmy Makes Music. As usual, Timmy takes the stage alongside his friends Stripey Badger, Finlay Fox, Ruffy Dog, Paxton Pig, Otus Owl, Kid Goat, Apricot Hedgehog, Mittens the Kitten and Yabba the Duck.
