We've been going to Tandoori Nights since my daughter Olivia was about six (she's now 19 and on her gap year travels!). I remember the first time - enchanted by the Indian music, Olivia got up to dance! The owner, Munir Hussan didn't bat an eyelid!

Since then we've eaten there regularly. Whether it's just the two of us or we make up a large party to celebrate Mothering Sunday - with lots of children from toddlers to teenagers - we've always had attentive service and the food is excellent.

Munir and his staff - including his two sons Tariq and Salam - always make families welcome. Little spills and tears are both quickly mopped up! They treat children with respect and kindness and certainly the kids I've seen there respond with good behaviour!

Olivia has become an "honorary daughter" and they always love to hear news of her exploits. We've shared so many joyful occasions from Olivia's GCSE results to the arrival of Tariq's baby daughter.

We love Tandoori Nights' green chicken handi, although we do try other dishes too. A peshwari nan is Olivia's favourite and I've always been impressed by the way they can cater for special dietary needs as when I had to be wheat-free. You  may have to wait for a meal - but that's because it's freshly cooked.

Tandoori Nights always comes up trumps for us - an Oscar winner! The first thing Olivia always says whenever we get back from a holiday is, "I can't wait for a curry."
