Tippitoes Star Wrap's nifty star-shaped design means that this blanket has lots of practical functions. If you have a baby who likes being swaddled (alas, ours doesn’t), the wrap folds neatly and straightforwardly to swaddle, without you needing to look at a series of diagrams while your infant squawks and you endeavour to work out which bit goes where (perhaps that’s where we went wrong with swaddling in the early days!).
The fabric is furry and tactile with a silky trim which I know older babies often find very strokable. It’s best use for me is in the buggy – it fits snugly and can’t fall off and leave little legs exposed, but is not bulky and will fit easily in my buggy’s basket on warm days when it’s not needed.
I’m guessing that because of its size it won’t be much use beyond six months, but I could be wrong!
It’s not an essential, but is definitely a useful addition to the nursery blanket repertoire.
